There have been many, many words written by cleverer people than me on the topic of cranberry sauce and its puzzling... thing. Still, it maintains its place in the pantheon of holiday foods.
Jessica has done something really nice with these cranberries, accenting them with a little orange and lemon zest. It's what is good about cranberry sauce without the weird experience of using a knife to cut a slice of cranberry sauce. As one so often does with the numerous things we call sauces.
